Abdominal wall correction
- drooping stomach
- folds of fat on the stomach
- stretch marks caused by pregnancy
- difficulty bending over or crouching
- protruding abdominal wall
Abdominal wall correction, also called abdominoplasty, is carried out if the only problem is folds of fat on the stomach. This can be carried out via an incision in the bikini line and possibly around the navel. Patients always have to spend one or two days in hospital. Health insurance funds will sometimes pay for procedures in the case of drooping stomach (excess skin and fat that gets in the way) and extremely weak abdominal muscles.
